Country Representative (USA3)
I was an ALT in Takaoka, Toyama-ken during the years of 2005 through 2007. JET was a life-shaping experience and I enjoyed all the ups and downs it offered. After JET I bounced around quite a bit. I did a working holiday visa in New Zealand, studied and received a masters in General Linguistics from SUNY at Buffalo, NY and then another masters in Computational Linguistics from University of Washington. I finally ended up in the Seattle area doing voice recognition software. I was the Treasurer and then President of the local PNWJETAA chapter for a total of 5 years before becoming a Country Representative for the U.S.
I’m super excited to be able to work with the broader JETAA community this coming year! よろしくお願いします！
