Kay Webber

Country Representative (UK)

UK

I'm Kay and I spent 3 years as an ALT in Chichibu Saitama from 1996-1999.  Ironically as a Kiwi I lived right near Hitsujiyama (aka 'Sheep Mountain)... I can't help but feel someone in the placement office thought that was funny ...

After the JET programme I became involved with other Japanese programmes such as Ship for World Youth (as Deputy National Leader for New Zealand) and the NGO Peaceboat.

I have also been involved with the alumni associations of JETAA Wellington (as Treasurer and Vice-President), JETAA London, NZSWYAA (as Vice-President), and SWYAA London.

I've now been living in the UK for over 13 years and although I still have the wonderful Kiwi accent, I'm currently the England and Wales International Rep for JETAAI.

We have a number of chapters throughout the UK constantly running various activities so please contact us if you're ever visiting and wish to meet us.
